Our Four Programs Reach and Serve Every Age Group

Through our cradle-to-career programs at each stage of a young person’s development, OP offers seeded colleges savings accounts (529 CSAs), Early College Scholarships, 2-4 year college scholarships, financial guidance, college-going culture programming, mentorship and advising to support students to attain their college and career dreams.

Ages 0 - 5

Brilliant Baby

Brilliant Baby supports parents with a new baby during the first critical years of their child’s development. We offer resources for parents that reduce financial stress and inspire excitement for their child’s college future. Each Brilliant Baby receives a 529 College Savings Account.

Ages 5 - 15

Kindergarten to College

Partnering with OUSD public and charter schools, Kindergarten to College is helping students embrace an expectation for their college and career success. Every Oakland public school kindergartener receives a K2C Early College Scholarship Fund and can access incentives to open and after opening a college savings account.

College Access

Our vision is for every high school student to have access to personalized scholarships, college and financial aid application support and resources to set them on a path to college & career success.

Ages 18 - 25

College Completion

Currently, fewer than 500 (about 10%) Oakland public school 12th graders graduate from a 2 or 4-year college within 6 years of high school graduation each year. We provide scholarship distribution, mentorship, advising, community resources and college persistent support so students can succeed.
