Tim Marlowe leads the integration of data and systems for the Oakland Promise child savings account programs. As part of the 2004 Rio Grande Valley TFA Corps. Tim taught 9th grade world geography and helped to found a nonprofit focused on improving student health outcomes. After three years in Texas, he followed his love of the Spanish language to Mexico, teaching I.B. Economics and leading the Model U.N. program at the American School Foundation in Mexico City. Returning to the states, Tim attended the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, receiving his Masters of Public Policy in 2012. Since graduating, Tim has worked as a consultant and project manager for UPD Consulting, constructing graduation early warning systems and implementing performance management processes for schools, districts and states across the country. He joined the Oakland Promise team in September of 2016 and is extremely excited about working in this role to ensure that all Oakland students have the opportunity to go to college.
